The Hardwire PDM is a solid-state power distribution module that replaces the conventional relay and fuse box in a vehicle electrical system. It takes commands from physical switches, analogue voltages or the CAN bus and switches power to the connected loads - fans, lights, pumps, actuators and so on.

Every output measures its own current continuously. If a load draws more than its configured threshold the module turns that output off to protect the loom and the device, then optionally retries it a set number of times to see whether the fault has cleared. Having no moving contacts, it is unaffected by the vibration, water and dirt that shorten the life of mechanical relays.

Outputs

• 15 outputs in total: 11 high-side, plus 4 high/low-side outputs with reverse-current blocking
• 20 A continuous per output (pin-limited to 13 A at 125 °C), 80 A peak
• 120 A combined maximum across the module
• Overcurrent, overtemperature, load-dump and reverse-polarity protection on every output
• 1000 Hz PWM per output with variable duty-cycle mapping, and soft start
• Instant or Normal trip modes, so short inrush spikes can be allowed through
• Current set in 100 mA steps; measurement resolution 3 mA

• 16 analogue inputs, each usable as a digital input
• 0–25 V measurement at 12-bit resolution (0.01 V), protected from −24 V to +40 V
• Integrated 200 kΩ pull-up and 40 kΩ pull-down, for positive or ground switching

• Frequency measurement to 300 Hz with automatic triggering
