Single-Axis MEMS Gyroscope in Silicon Sensing’s Smallest Package
Single-Axis MEMS Gyroscope in Silicon Sensing’s Smallest Package
Silicon Sensing CRM100 is the in-plane member of the PinPoint® family and the smallest gyroscope in the Silicon Sensing range, measuring 5.7 x 4.8 x 1.2 mm in a hermetically sealed ceramic LCC surface-mount package. Its single sensing axis sits perpendicular to the host PCBA and measures angular rate across four user-selectable ranges from ±75°/s to ±900°/s, with either an analogue voltage output or an SPI® digital interface chosen at integration. Bias instability of 12°/hr and angular random walk of 0.2°/√hr are delivered on 4 mA from a 3 V supply, and the part is AEC-Q100 tested. Combined with the orthogonal CRM200 on the same board, PinPoint measures pitch, roll and yaw from a single assembly.

What is the CRM100 PinPoint MEMS Gyroscope?
Silicon Sensing CRM100 is a single-axis MEMS angular rate sensor from the PinPoint® family, measuring angular velocity about an axis perpendicular to the host PCBA. It offers four user-selectable rate ranges, analogue or SPI® digital output, and 12°/hr bias instability from a 5.7 x 4.8 x 1.2 mm hermetically sealed ceramic package.
What is the difference between the CRM100, CRM120 and CRM200?
Only the sensing axis and the package. CRM100 senses perpendicular to the host board, CRM200 parallel to it and CRM120 at 20°. A CRM100 and a CRM200 on the same board give three degrees of freedom.
