Miniature Single-Axis Gyroscope with 1°/hr Bias Instability

DatasheetSupport

Silicon Sensing CRG21 is a miniature single-axis MEMS gyroscope with both analogue and digital outputs, built on the company’s proprietary cos²θ ring MEMS structure and responding to rate about the out-of-plane z-axis. It delivers 1°/hr bias instability and 0.2°/√hr angular random walk with a digital resolution of 0.03125°/s over SPI®, and needs no calibration in the host system. Two auxiliary analogue-to-digital inputs let a designer digitise accelerometers or further gyros through the same part, so a multi-axis sensor cluster can be built without additional conversion. The sensor weighs 0.8 g in a compact ceramic LCC surface-mount package and runs from -40°C to +105°C.
